Our (Values)

At Person Centred Pathways, our approach is deeply rooted in person-centred values, which serve as the cornerstone of our foundation. These values encompass individuality, independence, privacy, partnership, choice, dignity, respect, and rights. We believe in putting these values into practice in every aspect of our care provision.

We instil our health and social care services with these values in the following ways:

Rights:

Our services are committed to observing the rights of individuals. The Human Rights Act of 1998 provides a certain set of rights, and those we care for are entitled to them. Safety, respect, dignity, and equality are fundamental expectations, and we set them as priorities. Especially in the case when some or all of these basic human rights are threatened, we know that engaged and motivated leadership is needed. We believe in putting this value into practice in every aspect of our care provision.

Individuality:

Recognising that each person is unique, with their own identity, needs, wishes, choices, beliefs, and values. We recognise individuality and uniqueness. Everyone possesses specific physiological and psychological traits that set them apart. They have distinct, Identities, Physical and mental needs, Desires and hopes, Set of choices, Belief systems and Values. First, identify what makes one person special, unique. Second, recognise that people are not interchangeable and cannot be assumed to be the same.

Choice:

At Person Centred Pathways, we make it our utmost priority to help every resident make intelligent decisions about their healthcare. We give them all the information they need, presented in a way that they can truly understand. And when a person can't communicate their preferences with words, either because they're unable or they're just too shy, we go the extra mile to make sure they're respected and their choices are carried out in a manner that best suits their personal needs.

Privacy:

At Person Centred Pathways, we believe that every individual has the right to privacy. When they need it, we believe they're entitled to have private space and private time. We believe that the confidentiality of personal information should be upheld and that sharing that information—both the fact that it exists and what the content is—with another person should only happen with express permission and on a need-to-know basis.

Independence:

At Person Centred Pathways Ltd, our goal is to help individuals achieve as much independence as they can. We see independence as a crucial factor in living a worthwhile life. Our core belief is that people should be supported to make choices and direct their own lives. We also strive to help the people we serve lead rich and fulfilling lives. We believe in putting this value into practice in every aspect of our care provision.

Dignity:

We value and respect individuals and their dignity, and we hold their unique beliefs and identities in high regard. We approach all our interactions with an open and positive attitude, taking the necessary time to truly understand the preference of the person in our care. This allows us to conduct personal care activities in a way that promotes and upholds their dignity. We believe in putting this value into practice in every aspect of our care provision.

Respect:

At Person Centred Pathways, we value and respect every individual and what they think and feel. We also appreciate each person's unique perspective. We understand that even when we don't agree, we can still respect the other person's right to have made that judgment. We believe in putting this value into practice in every aspect of our care provision.

Partnership:

At Person Centred Pathways, collaboration is at the core of how we work with individuals, their families, and other professionals. We develop an environment of open communication, trust, and mutual respect that allows for successful partnerships. We value hearing from everyone involved, which can sometimes mean a lot of voices are involved. By valuing the input of all stakeholders, we strive for successful partnerships that enhance the quality of care provided. We believe in putting this value into practice in every aspect of our care provision.

At Person Centred Pathways, these values guide our practices and interactions, ensuring that we deliver care that is respectful, dignified, and tailored to the unique needs and preferences of each individual.
